Brand New AFV-P series Programmable AC Power Source︱Higher Power•Better Performance
![]() |
| Preen’s latest AFV‑P Series takes programmable AC power to the next level. With smarter functionality and a broader specification range, it’s built to handle a wider variety of testing scenarios. Offering stronger performance in a more compact form, the new AFV‑P Series delivers an upgraded experience for R&D labs and quality assurance teams alike. |
| Meet The Upgraded AFV-P Series: Big Performance, Lightweight Build! |
| ∎ Up to 50% Lighter |
| The reengineered AFV‑P Series is up to 50% lighter than its predecessor, making installation, transport, and system integration easier than ever. This lightweight design makes it easier to rack-mount, transport, and integrate into automated test systems, improving on-site deployment efficiency and offering greater flexibility for environments that require frequent equipment relocation. |
| ∎ Boost Efficiency with Active PFC |
| The new AFV-P models feature Active Power Factor Correction (PFC), delivering significant improvements in both power factor and conversion efficiency. Increasing the power factor from 0.7 to 0.98 and efficiency from 0.8 to 0.85 can reduce apparent power by approximately 32.7%, resulting in less energy wasted, reduced system load, and better overall performance under the same conditions. |

| In addition to better efficiency, the AFV‑P Series brings key benefits to testing and production environments: |
| 1. Significant energy savings – Reduces reactive power loss and boosts overall energy utilization. |
| 2. Improve current stability – Suppresses current spikes and voltage drops, improving waveform integrity and power quality. |
| 3. Enable leaner designs – With reduced current draw, components like transformers and wiring can be smaller and lighter. |
| 4. Lower operating costs – Less energy loss leads to long-term savings on electricity expenses. |
| ∎ Expanded Output Specifications |
| Voltage output now extends from 0 to 350V (previously up to 310V), and power ranges from 800VA to 6kVA (up from 600VA–5kVA). This broader range allows more headroom for demanding test conditions and better support for high-voltage equipment across different global standards. |
| The upgraded AFV-P series meet the requirement of following tests |
|
|
For example, with a rated input of 305 VAC, the test voltage should be increased to 335.5 V to verify whether the device performs reliably under specified overvoltage conditions.

|
With a 350V output range, the AFV-P Series can simulate a wide range of global voltages (120/240V in the US, 230V in Europe, 110/220V in Taiwan) and support explosion-proof LED luminaires rated for 347–480 VAC. This makes it an ideal solution for testing high-voltage LED luminaires in rugged industrial applications such as oil and gas facilities, mines, chemical plants, ports, offshore platforms, tunnels, and large-scale industrial sites.
|
| Powerful. Precise. Versatile |
| The AFV-P Series provides stable, high-precision power for regulatory testing, reliability verification, and extreme condition simulations. Making it a versatile solution for a wide range of testing needs—supporting applications in aerospace, power electronics, IEC compliance, industrial control modules, commercial lighting, servo systems, and drive equipment. |
